Toolstation Western League Division One club Chard Town will have new floodlights for next season.

Chard Get Lit Up

The club have been raising money to replace the existing lights at their Zembard Lane ground which are 30 years old and have become inadequate and below the standard required by the Football Association and Western League.

The club launched a £16,000 appeal back in February of last year for new lights.

The club now have the necessary funds together following a £6,925 grant from the Premier League’s Football Stadia Improvement Funds, grants from the Football Foundation, Chard Town Council and South Somerset District Council, and donations.
