Chenery Appointed Blues Number Two
Ben Chenery

With James Scowcroft accepting a coaching role within the academy at Ipswich Town, it was felt that Bury needed to move quickly to find a replacement – a character who possesses the same ambitions as the club and who can support the directors and management team in driving the squad forward to promotion this season.

Having started his career at Ipswich, Chenery went on to play professionally for Luton Town and Cambridge United before moving on to play for Kettering Town, Canvey Island and latterly Chelmsford City where up until the end of last season he was assistant-manager of the Blue Square Bet South outfit.

Chenery had no hesitation in joining the Blues and is looking forward to the season ahead. He is currently convalescing from a minor operation and should be fit and well taking his place alongside Wilkins in the dug-out for the last few friendlies and, of course, the start of the new season on 18th August.
