....busy summer retaining the key players from last season’s squad.
The Lye Meadow outfit, who staved off relegation fears in the Alliance with an impressive second half of last season, will be aiming to build on the momentum built up last term.
Pearshouse has retained key figures such as Tom Elder, Andy Nicol, Dave Glaze, Jazz Luckie and prolific striker Joe Wright, with the only notable loss Sam Wills who decided to step down a level and join Earlswood Town. Alvechurch have also moved to solve the goalkeeper problems which affected them last year by bringing in Studley stopper Richard Taylor and signing Tom Hemmings.
Other new faces include central midfield duo Luke Dugmore and George Curry as well as winger Dean Poulson.
Pearshouse said: “It’s been a good summer, we’ve kept almost all the players we wanted to and made some good additions.
“It was all different from last summer when we brought in players and weren’t sure if they were good enough.
“Now we know the players we’ve got are good enough and we are aiming to break into the top half of the table.”
