.....switch to the North were allayed at the league’s annual general meeting at Celtic Manor today.

As one of the northernmost clubs in what remained of the Conference South following promotions and relegations at the end of 2011/12, City were keeping an eye on the final constitutions issued by officials. However, manager Glenn Pennyfather can now continue to prepare for the new campaign with his mind at ease.

Elsewhere at the meeting, a proposed rule change restricting the financial input of directors into a Conference club’s finances didn’t receive sufficient support to be passed.

A vote required 75% of members to be in favour of the amendments, a figure which was not achieved which meant the item was withdrawn.
