He has also featured in the team’s pre-season friendlies against Royston and Ely City and his presence at the heart of the Histon defence is likely to be crucial in the forthcoming campaign.

"Remy will be signing a deal in the next 24 to 48 hours," said Greene.

"We’ve agreed something in principle. He wants to be at the football club and he’s a good player so we certainly want to keep him. I’m sure something will be sorted out by the weekend."
