Former Boston United, Wisbech Town and Stamford AFC keeper Conroy left the ChromaSport & Trophies United Counties League Premier Division title-hopefuls in the wake of a 3-3 draw at Boston Town on Tuesday.
Boss Pat Rayment will now hand second-choice Lee Drury his chance in the first-team.
Rayment said: “Myself and Nick mutually agreed for him to move on. Lee has been patient since arriving in the summer and will get his opportunity now.
“The back five is an area that needs some work. We look the real deal in midfield and attack and have to bring the back-line up to scratch.”
Former Notts County youngster Josh Freeman is training with Spalding, while Rayment has renewed his interest in midfielder Chris Hall of Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Premier Division outfit North Ferriby United.
