With three weeks left in the summer transfer window, the former Accrington Stanley winger is now free to sign for another club, and has recently spent a week on trial at npower League One side Rochdale.

McConville was one of Didi Hamann's first County signings after the former German international took charge of the Hatters, and his first goal for the club came as a last-minute equaliser against Luton Town in September 2011.

The following March he joined Rochdale on loan, appearing four times for the Spotland outfit.
