....after being released last month by former Lambs` boss Gary Mills at league rivals York City.
Courtney, 26, began his career on youth forms at Derby County and then Birmingham City. After three seasons at the Blues he signed for AFC Telford United in 2004 where after a successful season was voted their player of the season.
In 2005 he moved into the Football League and signed for Burnley. During the season he made eight appearances for the Clarets and after being released in 2006 signed for Welsh side The New Saints.
After three seasons in Wales, Courtney was signed by Martin Foyle at York but with new boss Mills bringing in his own players, Courtney was released during transfer window and has been training with the Lambs.
Courtney will be looking to be in the squad for Saturday`s home game against Histon.
