Ex-Southport left-back Andy Owens and former Lincoln City right-back Lee Beevers have put pen-to-paper with the Stags.
Cox has reputedly fought off interest from Gateshead and Cambridge United to win the race to sign ex-Liverpool trainee Owens.
The 22-year-old attracted the attention of a number of clubs after making over forty appearances for the Sandgrounders last season.
Former Lincoln stalwart Beevers appeared over 150 times in the Football League with the Imps and has also enjoyed spells in the League with Boston United and Colchester.
The 28-year-old was Walsall's regular right-back last season in npower League One, where he played in forty matches.
Cox commented: "We've nipped in there to sign Andy. He's an excellent player with England `C` experience.
"Lee Beevers has over 300 League appearances to his name and will add further competition to our defence."
In other news, the club can confirm that Richard Cooper has agreed to join the Stags as first-team coach from Eastwood Town, where he previously worked with Cox as his assistant for two years.
