Magpies` boss Steve Cuss said: “We had been looking to improve the medical side of things. John is a very experienced physio and he will be a big help to the players.”

Edwards, who is based in Wimborne, had two spells at Bashley as well as a year at Holt United.

He had also served at Wimborne during Alex Pike’s time in charge.
