...and make the step up into the professional ranks of the game as he has been asked to go on a three day trial at npower League One side Dagenham & Redbridge.

The Daggers have watched Woodall a few times recently and last week approached the club about taking a closer look at him in a trial situation which has been arranged for later this week.

On the news manager Gary Norton said: "We got a phone call last week asking about Brian's situation and whether he would be available to go down there on a trial. They had heard good reports about him and so sent their own scouts to take a look and must have liked what they saw as they want to take a closer look at him.

"He's been playing reasonably well recently, without perhaps being at his best so that can only be a good thing for him in the fact that that they haven't yet seen the best of him. He's a lovely lad and we are really pleased for him to get such an opportunity.

“Brian's a very talented lad and he's got all the raw ingredients needed to be playing a lot higher than he is. Who knows, he could possibly get that chance in league football with Dagenham & Redbridge?

“There's no way we would stand in his way of a chance like this and we wish him well for his trial."
