....club Weymouth, unless the striker makes a definitive decision on his future in the next couple of days.
The Terras have given the 27-year-old huge support this summer in their quest to keep him, offering him a new deal and helping pay for a private operation on his knee. But the club now appears to be running out of patience following the recent advances of new league rivals Kettering Town.
The Poppies and ex-Weymouth chairman George Rolls have offered Byerley £600-a-week and a bumper goal bonus to move to Nene Park but the forward is continuing to lie low. King said: “I spoke to Warren last week and he said he wanted time to think things over but we cannot wait too much longer.
“We need to know his decision in the next couple of days or I’m going to have to start planning without him.
“If I don’t hear anything soon I will begin looking for someone else.”
Byerley, who has netted fifty goals for the Terras in the last two seasons, met with Rolls at Nene Park last Thursday with the latter claiming afterwards that they had shaken hands on a deal.
Meanwhile, King’s search for new blood is continuing with meetings with potential new signings set up for later this week.
He added: “I am meeting with a couple of players in a few days’ time so hopefully I should have some more news by the weekend.”
