....ahead on Tuesday night with the Cogenhoe-Quorn and Irchester United-Yaxley encounters off due to waterlogged pitches and Shepshed Dynamo’s trip to Sleaford Town falling by the wayside after the visiting transport broke down en route.

Fifth-placed Deeping Rangers won 4-1 at home to Boston Town, who took an early lead through Lorand Borbely but two Alex Beck goals and one from Matt Heron turned the game by the break and Ash Stevens sealed the home success on resumption.

Harborough Town moved further away from the drop zone with a 2-0 home win over Stewarts & Lloyds.

Goals from Danny Wright and Taras Petranyuk gave Harborough their first Premier double.

Wellingborough Town lost 3-0 to Kettering Town at the Dog & Duck in their Northants Hillier Senior Cup quarter-final.

All three Kettering goals came in the second period. Jamie Griffiths scored with a direct free-kick after 65 minutes and just 8 minutes later Tim Singh Gill, on his debut, netted after a corner.

Teenage substitute Harry Beckley scored the goal of the game in the 90th minute with a neat turn and sweet shot high into the net.

In the first round of the Hinchingbrooke Cup Eynesbury Rovers blitzed local rivals Potton United 9-0 at Hall Road.

Ben Cole scored three, Lee Bassett two and Barry Albone, James Freshwater, Ben Colmer and Aaron Greene one apiece.

In the same competition Whitworth won 4-0 at home to Molten Spartan South Midlands League side Cranfield United with a hat-trick from Cavell Jarvis and Jonny Hazell effort.
