Hudson brings a wealth of experience, having started his career as a youth player at Fulham before moving to Germany where he played professionally in Bundesliga 2.

He is an experienced coach with a solid record in management.

Chairman Mo Osman told the club`s official Pitchero website: “It was important that the club took time to appoint the right person to take our club forward. We had a number of strong applications for the position and interviewed some really good candidates. However, Chris’ enthusiasm for the game, and his ambition to succeed, shone through. The Committee is looking forward to providing him and his management team with all the support that they need.”

Hudson said: “I am thrilled to be appointed as Wivenhoe Town’s manager. I am looking forward to the challenge and will do everything I can to give the club and its fans a team that they can continue to be proud of”.
