"Wells is a well-run club but in the end I decided it was not for me," said Dray. Dray, who has applied for the manager's job at Mangotsfield United, was sacked by Bridgwater last month following a run of poor displays.
He said: "I've not been in any hurry to find a new job but I would now like to get something sorted out fairly soon, "You need to start planning now for next season. You don't want to leave it too late. "I've had a few weeks off and feel it's time to get back into it." Dray was manager at Bridgwater for two seasons and his sacking last month came as "a bit of a surprise" to him. His assistant Kevin Milsom was immediately appointed caretaker-manager until the end of the season. Milsom has made no secret of the fact that he would like the job on a permanent basis. "The club has not said anything to me only that I'm doing a good job," said Milsom. "But I think both the players and I would like to know. Other clubs are already taking an interest in our players. "It needs to be resolved sooner rather than later.”
