Dring`s New-Look Team Keen to Play

....transfer market – although they might have to wait a week to begin their climb.

Dring has signed half a dozen players for the Baris Northern Counties East League Division One strugglers, including son Ben from Armthorpe Welfare, Sean Greaves from Maltby Main, Parkgate’s Benjamin Scott and Marcin Wolski.

Other newcomers were poised to feature in today’s visit of Bottesford Town but that game is unlikely to go ahead due to a frozen pitch plus the recent damage to facilities by vandals. They will otherwise be unveiled next week.

He said: “We don’t want the game to be off, after last Saturday`s 2-1 loss at leaders Athersley when we played really well.

“I’ve signed six or seven players and once we get a striker in we will be turning things round, playing good football with a physical, good strong side.

“Financially it’s not easy but I know a lot of players.”
