....new faces to his squad with the signings of defensive duo Aaron Davies and Tom Batchelor.
The pair have been training with the team for pre-season and have both done enough to impress boss Drury and earn an opportunity at the club.
Davies, who plays right-back, joins after spending last season with ChromaSport & Trophies United Counties Leaguers S&L Corby, while Batchelor spent the back-end of the last campaign with Baris Northern Counties East League side Lincoln Moorlands Railway.
“Aaron was being watched by Cheltenham Town last year which says a lot about him,” said Drury. “He’s a young lad but is big and quick. He reads the game exceptionally well and has really impressed me in the two pre-season games that we have had so far.
“Tom, on the other hand, is only 20 but is a towering 6’5 centre-half. He played for Lincoln City as well as Shrewsbury Town, before his spell with Lincoln Moorlands last term.
“He’s a big lad, quick, and strong in the air – which is all the attributes a centre-back needs. It’s another positive signing for the club.”
Meanwhile, Drury has said he is pleased with the way the friendlies have gone so far, particularly the game against Hinckley United - a side three divisions higher - on Saturday.
Goals from Sam Mullarkey, Joe Hopewell and Seth Burkett gave the Daniels a comfortable 3-1 win, and the manager was delighted with the manner of the victory.
“Against Hinckley we adapted ourselves well and coped with what they threw at us,” Drury added.
“The actual goal we conceded was from a set piece, which we are yet to work on, so we didn’t get opened up during the game at all – which was obviously very pleasing on the defensive side.
“Offensively, we scored three goals so that was good. We certainly don’t look shy of goals and when we tighten up, particularly from our set pieces, we won't concede sloppy goals.
“Winning is a good habit to have and I hope we can carry it on and really get that winning mentality instilled in the team.”
Meanwhile, Tyrone Kirk has left the Daniels by mutual consent.
