.....skipper Ben Kirk and vice-captain Matt Villis have pledged their future to the Seagulls for the forthcoming season.

Kirk is in his second spell with the Seagulls, having returned to Bridgwater in 2007/08 after leaving Weston.

He originally signed from Chippenham Town.

Villis is a strong central defender who oozes quality. He started out in the youth set-up at Plymouth Argyle before a successful loan spell at Torquay United earned him a full-time contract.

He was released by Torquay after they were relegated from the Football League and was quickly snapped up by Tiverton Town.

He joined Bridgwater in 2009 and then followed manager Craig Laird to Weston.

Laird said: “I am delighted that both Ben and Matt have agreed to resign as they are integral members of our squad.”
