Lewis, 26, whose brother Callum has played for the Eagles, joins a fresh looking Bedford squad that is starting to take shape for the coming campaign.
He is a strong, physical and skillful central midfielder who has played for Leighton Town and Holbeach United in previous seasons.
His signing takes the total number to eight as he joins Ian Brown, Gavin Hoyte, Graham Clark, Mark Duckett, Jamie Cole, James Faulkner and Drew Roberts, who have already committed themselves for the new season.
The signing of Lewis completes a spine to the squad that was commented on by manager Ady Hall. “I am very happy with the signing of Wes. He creates a dynamic mixture to the spine of our team with both strength and youthful energy present.
“I am delighted with the way it is taking shape. Pre-season training is progressing well and everyone is already eager for the opening match at Kempston on Tuesday.”
