.....Ryman League Division One South rivals Whitstable Ton and Herne Bay on Tuesday night went to penalties.

Whitstable’s Dan Wisker netting the winning penalty to then lift the Bruce Smith Shield.

Both managers were pleased with the run out after the rain at the weekend had cancelled both clubs fixtures. Whitstable’s manager Justin Luchford said: “Pleased that there are no injuries other than a couple of knocks. It was the first time that players on both sides had played together and at times it showed, still it’s the first small step towards a long Ryman League season.”
