East Midlands Counties League club Gedling Miners Welfare have announced the appointment of Scott Miles as first-team manager.

Goalkeeper Miles takes over from ex-manager Graham Walker, who will now take a few weeks off to concentrate on his business before returning to the club in a behind-the-scenes capacity.

Miles will continue to work with coach Wayne Looker and has appointed goalkeeping coach Sam Peters as his number two.

The club are now 100% behind Miles and his team as the battle to avoid relegation starting with today`s home fixture against promoted Leicestershire side Birstall United.
