North West Counties League Division One club Eccleshall have announced the appointment of Kierron Hammatt as their new first-team manager.

Hammatt came to the club as assistant to Peter Hall, who took change at Pershall Park midway through last season, intially to see the season out.

Hall was offered the manager's job for the coming season but felt he could not commit himself at that time. The club then agreed to offer the job to Hammatt, which he accepted.

Hammatt was with Evo-Stik League Premier Division club Nantwich Town for a time managing the youth team. Before moving to North Staffordshire, Hammatt was at Colchester United for eight years as youth development officer.
