Kyle May, Lee Andrews and Anthony Wright have all spoken to an un-named non-League manager, but Edmondson insists the trio have spurned any advances.
The 39-year-old has spoken to most of his squad about coming back to Borough Park next season with positive replies.
Strikers Jonny Wright and Gareth Arnison are definitely returning to Workington as they are under contract until 2012.
Edmondson said: “I’m not going to name the manager that has spoken to the lads but as far as I’m aware they will be in a Reds shirt next term.
“I have spoken with them and they are happy here. They are settled and they want to push on with us.
“It’s no surprise that they have attracted attention but we’re building something good here and we want to keep our core players.
“We have to have a nucleus of a team and add other players around that.”
Edmondson has also pinpointed a number of his own targets with a striker and midfielder top of his wish list.
He said: “I’m keeping the names under wraps because I don’t want to alert other clubs to their availability.
“The lads I’ve spoken to include former Football League players who would add much-needed experience to the team.
“We have a young side but we lack older heads. That’s my job for the summer – to find players who can add more to the team.”
Workington have announced two pre-season friendlies with Gateshead visiting Borough Park on July 21st and Carlisle United on July 27th.
Edmondson and football secretary Steve Durham are working on adding more names to the list with Morecambe, Darlington and Barrow all possibilities.
