Former Luton Town goalkeeper Carl Emberson has rejoined the Blue Square Bet Premier club as first-team development coach.

The 38-year-old made sixty appearances between the sticks in two years at Kenilworth Road between 2001 and 2003 having been signed from Colchester United.

It was at Layer Road where Emberson met Paul Buckle and, having hung up his gloves as a player in 2005 having made 310 career appearances, Emberson returned to football last summer when he was appointed by Buckle as a coach at the Memorial Ground.

Emberson's role will be to assist the Hatters boss with first-team coaching duties and will also be responsible for the transition of young players into fully-fledged professionals.
