The 25-year-old, who hasn’t featured for the Blue Square Bet Premier Promotion Play-Off semi-finalists since the goalless FA Trophy draw at Hinckley United on January 18th, remains on crutches after ankle surgery, but speaking at the supporters presentation evening, he said: “The surgeon told me not to put a date on it. I’ll be in all over the summer, trying to build the muscle back up, and then I’m hoping to be in for pre-season.

“I’m feeling good. The cast came off recently, so I’m in this air cast boot for hopefully only two weeks depending on how it goes.

“I’m back in every day with physio Simon Parsell now, but have got complete muscle wastage, so it’s going to be a long road back.

“I might have my own schedule, so I’m hoping to be fit for start of the season.”
