Striker Evans, who spent time in the London Road youth set-up, has signed on the dotted line at Outgang Road after being released by npower League One club Crawley Town and returns to a club where he played football as a boy.
Evans - the son of Rotherham United boss Steve - made a goalscoring debut on Tuesday night when Deeping were beaten 4-2 at Holbeach United in the League Cup preliminary round.
Rangers boss Tuncay Korkmaz said: “It is the right opportunity for the club and right opportunity for the lad.
“Dan still has hopes of doing well in the game and we would love nothing more than being able to help him back up the football ladder.”
