Since the end of the season, the management of Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Premier Division club Workington AFC have been in discussion with the playing squad as preparations for the 2017/18 campaign continue.

Conor Tinnion was the first to commit for the new season, which kicks-off on 12th August, when he extended his contract for a further twelve months.

The double player-of-the-year winner, acknowledged by players and supporters, originally signed for Reds seven years ago but has matured into a wonderful talent over the last three seasons missing very few games and chipping in with over thirty goals.

He skippered the side occasionally last season, and has made 148 starts since Reds returned to the Northern Premier League in 2015.
