....signings of ex-Droylsden goalkeeper Paul Phillips and defender Phil Bolland on dual registration from FC Halifax Town.

Both players will add considerable depth and experience to the squad, as Johnson explained: "Phillo will add competition for Terry Smith as well as well as help with the development of both him and Chris Cheetham. We forget that Terry is still a very young goalkeeper and this can only be beneficial for him."

Johnson also revealed another high calbire signing: "I have also signed experienced defender Phil Bolland on dual registration from FC Halifax Town. Phil will go straight into the squad for the trip to Buxton."

Johnson also revealed that there may be further irons in the fire: "I am also looking at adding one or two other players in the coming days, so watch this space!"
