The 32-year-old Liverpudlian has nearly fifteen years’ experience of playing in the Premier League and the Football League with the likes of Everton, Grimsby Town, Hull City, Yeovil Town, Bristol City, Huddersfield Town and Bury and has most recently been with Morecambe, who he left at the end of the season.

With an impressive ratio of a goal every three games over his long career, Jevons is cult hero at several of his former clubs, especially at Grimsby, where his 35-yard screamer in a League Cup tie at Liverpool in 2001 sealed the Mariners’ most famous ever win.

Jevons joins Callum Byrne, Andy Pearson, Alex Brown and Tim Marshall in signing up for the forthcoming season.
