Vanarama National League club FC Halifax Town have confirmed the appointment of Jamie Fullarton as their new first-team manager.

As a player, Fullarton enjoyed a successful career with clubs such as Crystal Palace, St Mirren, Brentford and Bastia to name a few.

After hanging up his boots he held head of coaching roles with Nottingham Forest, Bolton Wanderers and Blackburn Rovers as well as first-team coach at Crystal Palace.

After taking charge in extremely difficult circumstances at Notts County, Fullarton and the club parted company whilst the club was put up for sale.

Fullarton brings with him an extensive knowledge of the game, a vast recruitment network and is a pro-license coach.

His first game in charge will be away this Saturday against Eastleigh.
