....player and assistant-manager Steve Buckle as manager of all senior playing matters and he will be joined by Gary Thompson as his assistant and first-team coach.
Both are former players with Felixstowe Town pre the club`s merger with Walton United and Buckle was assistant to Steve Potts during his tenure in charge at The Goldstar ground.
Buckle, a goalscoring midfielder, spent much of his successful playing career with Sudbury Town before moving across the county to the Seasiders.
Thompson, a former Ipswich Town, Colchester United and Sudbury Town and AFC Sudbury defender, who also collected honours as an England under-19 international, was formerly manager of Division One club Whitton United, leading them to promotion in 2007/08.
Thompson has been out of the game for the past year, while Buckle has been assisting Woodbridge Town manager and former Seasiders` first-team coach Mark Scopes at Notcutts Park.
The two bring a wealth of experience to The Goldstar Ground and the club is excited to have obtained their services.
Vice-chairman in charge of football matters, Tony Barnes, confirmed the appointment after several interviews with candidates and was delighted to have added two very experienced members to the senior management structure.
Buckle will have full control of all playing matters within the senior section of the club and will have an input into the junior coaching side.
Club chairman elect Andy Wilding said: “We were pleasantly surprised at the number of applicants for the position but feel in Steve and Gary we have made the correct choice in the best interests of the club as we look to move it forward.”
