....season's squad as his plans for the new campaign gather pace.

Midfielders Lee Chilton, James Husband, Richard Batchelor, Matt Dodd and Alex Taylor have all committed to Brakes for 2012/13, news which will hearten supporters as the club look to build on their strong finish last time out and hit the ground running with a promotion charge.

Holleran said: “Continuity is important and it is good that the lads who did well for us in our unbeaten twelve-game run at the end of the season, all want to come back on board. I think it shows that they believe we are moving in the right direction.

“I am very hopeful that we will have further positive announcements in the coming days. We will also be looking to freshen up the squad and increase the competition for places, particularly on the striker front.”

Chilton and Dodd impressed after joining the club in the second half of last season, although Dodd only played a handful of games after picking up an injury, so Brakes fans will be excited to see what he can do with a run of games.

Husband, a long-time fans` favourite, will be starting his eighth season at the club, having made well over 200 appearances.

Batchelor will no doubt be chomping at the bit to get started again - his season having been cruelly cut short by a broken foot at Cambridge City in March - and Alex Taylor will be looking to continue where he left off, with some assured performances and important goals.
