Several players who were with the club at the end of last season have re-signed for the 2012/13 season, including club captain Adrian Clifton, who has shown good form in pre-season so far.
Aaron Omand, Inaki Ordono, Chris Taylor and Matthew Waldron have all re-signed, while Arian Retkceri has also put pen-to-paper after recovering from an injury which caused his 2011/12 season to finish early.
New to Forest are Dmitry Larin, a vastly experienced defensive midfielder who, from 1993 to 1998 made 106 appearances for FC Kristall Smolensk, scoring eight times in the Russian First Division (the second tier of Russian professional football).
In 1999 he moved to FC Dynamo Bryansk - again in the Russian First Division - and made 148 appearances, scoring twenty times.
In 2000 he had a stint of nineteen matches at FC Zvezda Irkutsk and then enjoyed two seasons with FC Avangard Kursk, netting thirteen times in fifty-eight appearances.
A four-year return to FC Dynamo Bryansk followed where he made 138 appearances, scoring seven times.
Most recently, Larin has been playing for Molten Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division side London Tigers.
Corey Whitely is a winger who came through the youth system at Blue Square Bet South outfit Boreham Wood, and has top scored for Yalova FC for the past three seasons.
David Bryan, Armindo Dos Santos, Adam Griffin, Ben Head, Avni Islami and Jack Leachman have also signed.
Dos Santos and Islami are awaiting international clearance.
