....Peterhead goalkeeper John Bateman.
Bateman, 22, was handed a professional contract by Scottish Premier side Aberdeen at the end of the 2007/08 season after originally being on the books at West Bromwich Albion as a youngster, and was sent out on a season`s loan to Peterhead, where he made eighteen first-team appearances, to gain experience.
He made the move to Second Division Peterhead a permanent one in July 2010 and added twenty-three games to his tally before being released last May.
Sporting have also re-signed former winger Nathaniel Lawson from league rivals AFC Wulfrunians.
These two signings are excellent additions to the squad and have added that extra bit of quality to an already talented squad.
