Former Saint Joins Whitchurch
Sam Argent

Argent began his career at Southampton, and was a regular for the club's academy and under-21 sides between 2008 and 2011.

He rubbed shoulders with the first-team during the 2010/11 pre-season, coming off the bench to replace Danny Butterfield in a 1-0 win at Farnborough.

Argent is a composed player, who possesses the ability to cause problems for defences. In July 2011 he joined then Blue Square Bet Premier outfit Hayes & Yeading United and made his debut in a 3-1 win over Alfreton Town on August 13th 2011.

At Kingfield he linked up with former Southampton team-mate Jack Saville, who was loaned to the club in August. He also played with former Saints midfielder Pele.

Argent made seventeen appearances for Hayes & Yeading last season but is now returning from injury and working closely with the Whitchurch physio and expects to make his debut soon.
