Foster Disappointed to End Point-Less
Ross Oulton

....disappointed not to get something out of Saturday`s opening game at home to Beaconsfield SYCOB.

Foster, who took over from former Aston Villa and Ireland star Mark Kinsella in the summer, said: “To be honest I feel a touch disappointed we did not get something out of the game. We created three or four very good chances but we just didn`t take them. We showed some good quality at times and I felt once we went to 4-4-2 formation we looked in better shape and it helped us get the ball out wide and encouraged us to play more.

“I knew they would be a strong side and that they would play a 4-3-3 formation so I went with 4-5-1 starting line-up to keep it compact and then take the game to them. I think Richard Morris only had two saves to make all game - that shows we were quite tidy defensively but we switched of for ten seconds and the lad buried it in the bottom corner.

“A lot of positives and a good platform to build on, but obviously the first points on the board are important and I felt that we should have got something on Saturday.

“Leighton Town on Tuesday will again be a good test as they picked up a good 3-1 win over AFC Hayes on the opening Saturday.

“If we show the same commitment and never-say-die attitude and add some more quality in the final third then I am sure we will give them some problems.

“Ross Oulton will be looking for a start as he produced a superb 35 minute display coming on as a substitute and if I decide on a 4-4-2 formation then Mykel Beckley will be pushing to start his goal tally.
