Four New Ducks
Ian Cooper

....Aylesbury United ahead of the new season.

First is talismanic Colney Heath striker Ian Cooper, who scored well over 100 goals during his three seasons with the Hertfordshire side.

Formerly with Boreham Wood, Cooper scored thirty-eight times last season - including a hat-trick against the Ducks when the sides met at Bell Close in October.

Also signing for United are a trio of defenders from Leverstock Green's successful side - their captain Lee Bircham, young Steve Hatch, and Craig Preston.

Bircham is a right-back previously of Beaconsfield SYCOB, Ruislip Manor, Fisher Athletic, Greenwich Borough, who joined Leverstock in the summer of 2009 from Kings Langley, going on to make 158 appearances in three seasons.

Hatch is described as a promising young talent who progressed through the Levy youth team, making his debut in 2010 and playing eighty games in total for the Pancake Lane outfit.

Preston established himself as a key player, having also joined from Kings Langley, and passed the 100-match mark for the Green last season.

So far nine of last season's squad have signed on for the new season - Jack Wood, John Mulholland, Ben Baines, Paul Edgeworth, Warren Garcia, Joey Acheampong, Sam Slatter, Tony Joyce and Russell Clark.

Additionally, Jack Sillitoe and Stacey Field are expected to sign in the next few days having indicated their intentions to do so.
