The funding will allow Norton to develop facilities in a new sports pavilion, which will comprise new changing rooms and community rooms.

Norton chairman Steve Beaumont said: “With the help of the Football Foundation, Norton United FC have achieved their ambition of new changing facilities after gaining promotion to the Premier Division of the North West Counties Football League this season."

Paul Thorogood, Chief Executive of the Football Foundation said: “I commend Norton United FC and the Staffordshire FA for working tirelessly to secure this funding, and I look forward to seeing the end result in the near future.”
