....signing in time for today’s game at Armthorpe Welfare.

Boro boss Rudy Funk has already completed the signing of striker David Brown from Evo-Sti Northern Premier League First Division North side Ossett Town, and he is also hoping to add attacker Henry Sibenge from league rivals Arnold Town to the squad.

Sibenge was on target against Boro last week, while Brown is a proven goalscorer at Northern Premier League level.

Funk said: “We have signed David and we are hoping to sign Henry, but at the moment things are looking a bit bleak for the deal to be done by for today. He will be available for next week though.

“You have to be prepared at this stage of the season. We are in a decent position in the league, so we have to make sure we stay up there. The addition of these players will give us a boost.

“David certainly knows where the back of the net is and Henry adds a huge degree of pace.”
