Andy Furnell

Ian Benjamin is stepping down after the Greens’ final game of the season, which is away to Biggleswade Town on Easter Monday.

Former Soham striker Andy Furnell, who is currently playing for Ridgeons League Premier Division side Wisbech Town, is the hot favourite to succeed Benjamin, with Andy Coleman in line to be his assistant.

"I was hoping they’d get it done by the end of the season, and it looks like that’s going to happen," said Benjamin.

"The players will then go away for the summer knowing who’s going to be in charge and having had a chat with the new manager. They’ll know what the situation is."
