Former Waltham Abbey and Concord Rangers defender Lee Sontag has joined the Millers, and has plenty of experience playing at that level.

On the signing, Gardner said: “I am happy Lee has decided to commit to us for the season.

“I would like to welcome Lee onboard in what will hopefully be an exciting season at the club. I expect to be able to announce more signings very soon.”

Gardner also confirmed he has appointed Dave Stephenson to his management team as a scout.

“Dave is a man who I trust, and we are both on the same wavelength,” he added. “He’ll be able to go out and watch both players and teams and report back to me what he finds. He is another great addition to the management team.”
