Glover has signed a one-year deal which brings him back to St George`s Lane.

He was top scorer at play-off winners Nuneaton Town last season which followed up the same achievement for the City the previous season.

Glover said: "To be honest, I did have several offers but having played for Carl Heeley before and knowing that City want to go places was a big draw for me. I think I can do well playing with Simmo and there are some quality players at Worcester. It is a place that players now want to come to and hopefully we can attract one or two more to give us a good chance at going for promotion.”

Heeley said: "It's no secret that we wanted Danny back. It has taken a couple of months` negotiation and we have met Danny and his Dad Dean several times to secure his signature.

“We are excited at the prospect of having Danny and Simmo as our strike force."
