The Evo-Stik League Southern

The Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division new boys are led by manager Steve Farmer, who heads a team which includes number two Adam Cooper, a psychologist, three physios, two goalkeeping coaches and a strength and conditioning coach.
Farmer feels the vast numbers are necessary to maintain the professional standards he hopes will eventually lead to a Football League job for him.
He said: “The vast majority of us are volunteers so it’s not costing the club.
“The reason we have a big backroom team is like the players, we are young and want to be successful.
“I’ve always wanted to create a learning environment.
“We are an innovative club.
“We’ll be working with Coventry University this year so we can have video analysis.
“I appreciate we are a Southern League club, but one day I want to manage in the Football League.
“I’m trying to get a loyal, qualified staff and now is the time to prepare.”
The rest of Farmer’s backroom team are psychologist Victor Allen and goalkeeping coaches Richard Hearne and Chris Reilly, who is also Burton Albion’s academy keeper coach.
Tim Colledge heads up a medical team which features sports therapist John Goodman and physio Chris Jenkins. Martin Ollerenshaw is the strength and conditioning coach.
Ollerenshaw, Colledge, Riley and Goodman are all new additions after the team won promotion last season.
