....shoot-out in their FA Carlsberg Vase Fourth Round replay on Saturday.
The sides could not be separated in normal time - or the extra 30 minutes - with the sides drawing 2-2.
And it was similarly tight in the shoot-out with both teams scoring their allotted five penalties. And it was not until the fourteenth penalty that the sides were separated with the Gresley `keeper making a save to seal his side's progression to play ChromaSport Trophies United Counties League side St Ives Town.
It was not so close between STL Northern League First Division side Dunston UTS and Ridgeons League Premier Division outfit Wisbech Town.
The two sides drew 2-2 in the initial tie a week ago but the home side triumphed at the UTS Stadium in Saturday’s replay.
But their task was made easier when Steve Appleby’s visitors were reduced to ten-men when defender Anthony Reeves was sent-off. And the home side made their numerical advantage count, running out 3-1 victors.
And the Northern League had another victor in Billingham Synthonia, who made it into round five with a 2-1 win at North West Counties Leaguers Runcorn Town.
After a goalless first half, the visitors finally broke the deadlock through David Abel after 69 minutes before Danny Earl followed it up with a second 10 minutes later.
Jason Carey did pull one back for the home side to set up a grandstand finish, but the Synners held on to progress.
