After his appointment as the new manager of Toolstation Northern Counties East League Premier Division club Parkgate earlier this week, Billy Fox has moved quickly to firm up his backroom staff.

Former Parkgate defender and favourite Richard Haigh, who has also played for Belper Town and Stocksbridge Park Steels in the Evo-Stik League, for Maltby Main in the NCEL and was assistant-manager to Billy at Clipstone, will be assistant-manager at Roundwood.

Former Lincoln City, Boston United, Harrogate Town, Northwich Victoria, Frickley Athletic and Staveley Miners Welfare forward Ollie Ryan comes in as first-team coach.

Most recently, Ryan was player-coach at Evo-Stik League South outfit Sheffield FC.

Fox told the club`s official Pitchero website: “Richard will bring 100 per cent commitment in the same way he does as a player and he’ll help pass on his experience to the young group of players we have at the club. As for Ollie, he has experience of being a professional footballer, and he knows the application required to improve the playing staff.”

They will all be in the dug-out for the visit of Hemsworth Miners Welfare on Saturday.
