.....weekend`s game against Alsager Town by signing former Preston North End goalkeeper Jordan Watson from Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Premier Division side AFC Fylde on loan.
With Marko Marosi injured on Tuesday night with a hand injury, and reserve keeper Lyle Davy also out with a foot problem, Town had no recognized keeper available for this weekend`s game against Alsager.
Watson, 19, was on the bench for Preston`s first-team last season on numerous occasions but was released in the summer before joining Fylde.
Manager Ben Hall was happy with the signing of the young keeper: “We are extremely grateful to everybody at AFC Fylde for helping us out on this one. Jordan is a top quality goalkeeper who needs to play and he will get that opportunity on Saturday.
“Fylde will remain his parent club, however, but he is dual registered now so if they need him back at short notice or we need him here it gives both clubs flexibility.
“Marko fell very awkwardly on Tuesday, at a push he could have played this weekend but he is only 18 and he needs a bit of time off to get himself right. He has been outstanding for us this season, and were all hoping he is back on Tuesday over at Blackpool.
“It was vital we registered another keeper, however, with only two on our books it left us in a very difficult position.”
