....opposition to land the signatures of two highly-rated players.
Joining Town for the new season are AFC Telford United’s centre back Shane Killock and Worcester City’s right-sided player Dwayne Samuels.
Killock, 23, had a short loan spell at Harrogate during the 2008/09 season when he made an instant impact on his debut, ironically against Telford, winning the man of the match award.
Originally on the books at Huddersfield Town, Killock has also turned out for Ossett Abion, Hyde United and Oxford United.
He joined Telford in 2009 following a successful loan period and helped them to the Conference Premier via the play-offs. At just 21, he was made captain of the Buck’s team and was voted their player of the season.
Samuels, 21, is a pacey right-sided player who is comfortable in both defence and midfield, and joins following his release from Worcester.
He started his career at West Bromwich Albion and played a handful of games before a spell at Grimsby Town occurred.
Dropping in to non-League football Samuels joined Shane Killock at AFC Telford United in July 2011 before moving on to Worcester at the business end of last season.
Speaking about his new signings, Simon Weaver commented: “I am very excited by these two signings. I didn’t know if we would get them and I am delighted that they have both seen what we are trying to achieve and realise as a club and joined. They are both super lads, not just with their football but also with their attitudes. They bring just what John McDermott and I are looking for in players.”
