....Standard status, as a league, has been received and accepted by the Football Association as meeting all the provisions required to become an FA Charter League.
Andy Earnshaw, Oxfordshire FA County Development Manager, who has worked alongside Hellenic officers to achieve Charter Standard status, commented: “Huge congratulations on all of your hard work in getting this put together. You have now become the first adult league covering Oxfordshire to achieve the award. I very much look forward to working with you more closely to deliver your football development plan objectives and help get your remaining clubs up to date. It has been a really positive and enjoyable experience working with the Hellenic League to date and I have been hugely impressed with your passion and commitment to raise standards and provide a quality football experience to your membership – a point that was very much echoed in support of your application to The FA.
League chairman Bob Dalling added: “This is an excellent achievement in the 60th season of the league and much of the credit for ensuring that Charter status has been achieved is due to General Manager Brian King and lead ‘Respect Officer’ Norman Stacey who have both spent many hours going through the various processes to ensure all elements were fully met to achieve the accolade of FA CHARTER STANDARD Status.
“Though this is just the starting point as we will look to work with member clubs and with Andy Earnshaw of the Oxfordshire FA to increase the number of Charter status clubs and work to further improving the standard and status of the league to ensure planned objectives are realised in the ensuing seasons. Well done to the Hellenic League team.”
