Hellenic League Statement on Shortwood

....unofficial 'Hellenic League Chat Site' of actions on the part of Shortwood United to further the club's cause for promotion by referring to an incident that happened back in August 2011.

Hellenic League general manager Brian King said: “The member club made a complaint to the Football Association recently. The incident was in respect of a player registration irregularity that was properly resolved by the Hellenic League Management in August. “The Football Association has dealt with the lodged complaint and found no case to answer and exonerated the Hellenic League in their handling of the matter both in August and also recently.

“I would confirm, on behalf of my Management Board no other action is being taken with regard to any issue involving possible points` deduction against the other involved club. This was a matter that was purely a registration irregularity which is for the Hellenic League to resolve, which they did in August. The decision made by the Hellenic League at that time is final and binding. “A full report will be made to the next Management Board meeting.”
