Star will make their move after Reed told current club, Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division Wisbech Town, he is leaving following weekend discussions with boss Steve Appleby.

One-time Peterborough United youth player Reed watched Northern Star in action on Saturday before jetting off on holiday and manager Jamie Weston is known to be a huge fan of the 21-year-old.

Weston confirmed a seven-day approach has gone in and Reed is expected to be available for Star from September 1st.

He saw the city side open their campaign with a 4-2 win over Wellingborough Town on Saturday.
